The breakfast was good. The room was good, but one had to shower in a kneeling position in order not to splash outside the tub. Bed was comfortable and i got a good night's sleep.
The owner Steve was very accommodating, friendly and made us feel most welcome. The accommodation was clean, cosy and very peaceful. There was a good choice for breakfast and tasty.Would recomend to stay if wanting a quiet break.
We checked in approx 6.45pm (en-route to dropping our daughter back at her uni digs in Bath & returned after) on a dark January evening. Seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but we found it OK. Welcomed by Victoria - Steve (owner) was on holiday. Shown to our room & how we had access to the lounge & kitchen. Such a lovely house. Lots to look at. No TV in our room, so thought we’d watch the one downstairs - it wasn’t to be, though, as we couldn’t find the remote control - lol! Too late by then to bother Victoria. Never mind!
Comfy bed, plenty of ventilation (which we need, even in January!). No shower as such; a bath with a shower head, so me & my husband held the head for each other! Different, but not a problem. Breakfast tasty. Really looked after by Victoria in the morning, who ensured we had enough food & drink.
Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful picturesque stay in classic country home
A beautifully remote stay in a picturesque location. Steve was a lovely host, and a pleasure to chat with at breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. We are both vegan, and Steve catered to our needs without problem.
Cannot fault my stay, such a welcoming host and a lovely property. Full English breakfast included! Was only staying for the one night but will definitely return in the future
Amazing stay, the host was very welcoming, he even let us feed his amazing horses, our little one was super excited. The breakfast was delicious and the room clean and cosy! Such a beautiful place, we will definitely return.
Excellent location, host and views. Such a relaxed vibe, due to the brilliant owner, who made you feel at home straight away. Definitely going back and would recommend to anyone.
Stayed for one night while exploring the Bradford-on-Avon area, and it was absolutely lovely. The room was beautiful, featuring charming decor and authentic beams that truly captured the feel of a countryside cottage. Breakfast was excellent, offering a variety of choices, including cooked options, juice, fresh jam, and cereal. Highly recommend it!
