Just a note: Amtrak train stop is extremely close and their last stop in town is around 11pm and you’ll know it. “We had a great time at Fossil Knob! For our NYE trip to Big Bend our priorities were great views, a peaceful setting, and a bit of luxury. Our expectations were met and exceeded. The property is a collection of renovated shipping containers that contain all of the amenities of a typical vacation rental (hot water, a small kitchen, linens, etc.) set against the backdrop of the Terlingua dessert. “First time staying here with my kids since we stayed at the Willow House, right across the street a year ago. Stardust is very modern and clean. But Willow House is bar none for the same price as Stardust coz Willow House has a swimming pool, free wine, water, ice machine 2 huge kitchen areas with all condiments provided. We still enjoyed our stay .”
