“The communication from the hotel was excellent, and accessing the room later in the day via the key box was no problem at all. The location is great—just a short walk to the beach and shops. The room was clean, though definitely a bit tired. The carpets were grubby, and the wallpaper could use some attention. Still, for the price, it was perfectly adequate. It’s unclear whether rooms are let on a longer-term basis, but it seemed that way. Sadly, our neighbour was audibly upset and sobbed……

“Waste of my time submitting a review you so r post? Hotels.com? A waste of time.Turned up at our hotel and the entry code didn’t work. Because someone had changed the lock. Rang the number given on the email and spoke to a very unhelpful man who said he couldn’t do anything for me unless I had an eight figure code which I had to get from Hotel.com. I tried searching the emails while he was on the line but had no 4G coverage so couldn’t open the attachments. Rang the given number again twice and……

“Perfect location in the heart of Wroxham/Hoveton. Nowhere better to sit and enjoy a drink by the river and watch the hustle and bustle of river life, tempered by the tranquility of the wildlife. Exceptionally friendly staff, especially if you are a dog, as one staff member quoted " We love dogs more than we love people" but qualified that by saying the "We love people also" and it shows. “As I filled in the check in form online before arrival, the whole process took literally a couple of seconds. The staff were very polite and answered all our questions. We had a set menu dinner at The Terrace hotel restaurant - very reasonable price and top quality food, we had all three courses. Good selection of wine also. Next morning we had breakfast- again, plenty of choice and service ”

“This is a charming independent hotel in a convenient location for Norwich centre. As with all hotels of its ilk it does not have the funding provided by the conglomerates but the plus side is its individuality and character. The staff were really good ”
