Field Gates near Abbotswood Farm, Brockworth The left gate leads to a public footpath skirting the rapidly developing Gloucester Business Park. The green belt at this point on the edge of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is under threat by development both of the Business Park and of the nearby old Brockworth aerodrome.

We stayed in one of the lakeside rooms which had a beautiful view. Room was slightly cold because of this but reception did provide us with an extra heater. Site of Churchdown station, 1986. View NE, towards Cheltenham etc.: ex-GW & Midland Joint Gloucester etc. - Cheltenham etc. main line. This important line had been quadrupled for War traffic in 1942, but reverted to double-track in 1967. Churchdown station was closed from 2/11/64.
