「Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

「I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.」

「Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel.」

「Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling.」

「Pleasant stay. Clean room. A not too loud alarm did disturb our sleep a little but it must have been nothing untoward? - fire regulations said to wait in bedroom until otherwise advised... fortunately no such advice was forthcoming!」

「Check in was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and polite, even moved me from a room in the inn to an annexe room so I could be away from noise from bar. Also had a very good breakfast which is extra but excellent value for money. Definitely recommend it hotel and breakfast.」

「Pleasantly surprised for the price we payed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms clean and spacious. Although no tea and coffee facilities in the room. These were available in the reception area at no extra cost. I was able to park at the back of the hotel but parking is limited. Will definitely stay here again and recommend Cost of an uber was approx £6 to Newcastle town centre.」

「The night at The Doubletree before our early next day flight, always starts our holiday off and this occasion was again a delight from arrival with warm welcoming staff with tasty cookies through to our evening meal and comfortable bed in a clean quiet room - perfect start!」

「It's a fantastic place to stay, but the wallpaper which is fab could do with glueing down in the room we stayed in 132. Also herb sausage is not breakfast sausage, maybe do just pork or beef sausage. Everything else was fantastic lovely stay.」
