"I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Houze. The room was very minimal, but quite comfortable. It was also extremely quiet - which was surprising given that I was on the second floor in the middle of downtown. A general disclaimer: The hotel is across from the main bus terminal, so there were some colorful folks hanging around on the block outside the hotel from time to time, but with other hotels and businesses nearby I, personally, never felt unsafe. "

"Parking was great! They have a small parking lot (enough for the number of guests) right behind the houses that comprise the property, and so it was very convenient to park. The property is lovely and I understand they are planning an updating project. The houses are interesting and historic, and the updating project will make them even more appealing. We loved the location! The DIA (Institutes of Art) was only a block away. Additionally we found an amazing restaurant, Chartreuse Kitchen and Cocktails, that served wonderful and creative vegan and meat-based dishes. I was the only vegan in our group, so this was the perfect spot. It was just a block away. Most of the Inn's staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful."

"The room was spectacular - I stayed in the Parlor room on the 12th floor. I had a view of Comerica Park and Ford Field. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the restaurants were all amazing (I visited all three). I would highly recommend this hotel! The only downside is there was not a fridge in my room, but it was not advertised that there was one. Just keep this is mind."

"Employee at check in was very helpful, gave us a nice room with a view. The room was very clean and comfortable We were in town for a concert at the arena and the free shuttle also worked out great and was easy to use. Would stay again when we are back in town."

"Parking on the street was easy and it was perfect walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go! Check-in was simple and getting a hold of the host was seamless as well. It felt safe and we were able to bring our dogs! Will definitely consider staying here again in the future! "
