“You NEED A vehicle to get around in. The Entire road leading to the condo is Koleche with pot holes for about 16 min straight. The day we checked in, the restaurant that is onsite was closed and the nearest and Expensive restaurant (Conch Shack) was about 23 min away. The rooms are clean and there is a beautiful view of the ocean in building 2 (not as beautiful as Grace Bay). The hostess was very slow on responses and only answers questions about the property. She did also give 1 restaurant……

“We stayed in a one bedroom suite and were amazed by the beautiful configuration of the room, its size, and breathtaking water views. From check-in to checkout the service/staff was wonderful. What a wonderful find! The snorkeling around the reef was amazing and the beach itself was just perfect. Every amenity that we could have wanted was available. The Resort itself was also more magnificent than we had expected. Our stay was a ten (10) and we will definitely be returning!!”

“Beautiful and quiet beach. The food and drinks were excellent and delicious. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the sister hotel that was closer to shopping and other restaurants. Note that all taxis are cash only. It's $20 from the airport for each person. Our room was great; we had a few minor electrical problems, but we adjusted. ”

“The Sands was a fine hotel but they fell short in several areas. Staff was generally unfriendly- specifically restaurant, store and front desk. There was an ant problem outside the room each night and we did find a few ants in our room. Room layout is awesome! Location also helpful. We like a resort feel and felt The Sands did a poor job of making guests feel pampered. Was very difficult to get beach service and when we did it arrived in a paper takeout bag. Also, there are very few game……

“Comparatively affordable, peaceful and comfortable smaller resort on Grace Bay Beach. Mature gardens, nice pool areas, restaurant and bar (happy hour was great), all rooms have washer and dryer. We had a king studio in building 8 (farthest from beach) which was just fine for us. Staff was courteous and were happy to help. Walkable to restaurants and downtown Grace Bay Area (15-30 min) which was great- we didn’t want to drive. We walked both ways on the beach to other restaurants etc. this resort……

“Clean and modern rooms. Hotel is located "center ice" for restaurants and shopping. Short convenient walk to beach, with hotel-reserved loungers and umbrellas, very helpful. Front desk very responsive and helpful. Room cleaning service was a bit inconsistent, but front desk responded quickly to resolve”
