Serene Sierra Cabin in the Big Trees Forest- Dog Woods Cabin
10/10 Excellent
"Great location at the edge of the woods, but also close to the pool and lakes and state park. We loved being up in the trees, and the home had everything we needed - plus it felt like a home, not like a soulless corporate vacation rental. It was a delight! Plus we came with our dog to escape the city fireworks and we didn’t hear a single one. And my toddler loved playing with his trains on the deck. He actually told me to sell our house and buy this one so we could live there all the time. "
"Lovely well maintained property. Very clean, nice linens and well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Great communication with host. Would definitely consider staying again in future trips to Arnold."
"We had a great stay! The kitchen had everything we needed for easy meals, and the pool table was a fun touch that made our evenings even better. Definitely a spot we’d come back to!"
"Charming, comfortable, however there were numerous small discomforts during our stay:-There were a lot of cobwebs around the fixtures (behind curtain rods, ceiling lights, etc.) -Glassware above the fridge was dirty-We were not given hand towels for the upstairs bathroom. We didn't find spare bath towels either. -There was no coffee provided, or fixings. -The front door was very difficult to latch. The upstairs bathroom door did not latch at all. -One or two of the stove burners were very difficult to ignite. -In the listing description, the host said the roku TV would be upstairs. It was downstairs instead. -Given the cabin is not air-conditioned, it would've been helpful to have window fans to place in the window sill. -There was not a clear explanation of access procedures for the 2 lakes available to rental guests. We weren't aware of lakeside check-in. "

"We had such a lovely time at the house! It was not only clean and beautiful but also so inviting. The beds were super comfy, and plenty of cozy spots outside to relax and enjoy the fresh air, way beyond what we expected! Our hosts were flexible and great at communicating. A big thank you for such a wonderful experience!"
"The cabin was roomy and the property was beautiful. Close to Arnold, Big Trees, Murphys, etc… Heater worked great and wood stove with lots of fire wood was a nice treat."
