“Everything we needed for pick up weekend for my MTU student. The weather wasn’t great, so we didn’t get out as much as we normally do, so it was nice to have a comfortable place to hide out from the rain. ”

“This was our 2nd time staying here. Clean, roomy. Love the 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Walking distance to many great places in Hancock for dinner, drinks, breakfast and bakery items as well as shops. This was convenient for moving our son out of MTU. Also a very comfortable place for my husband and I to work remotely. We brought our dog and walked just down the road to Porvoo Park most mornings. Trails nearby that span for miles. Also, a dog park just a couple of miles away. Just a perfect……

“We really enjoy the old schoolhouse turned into apartments. The price is very reasonable. We love how they tried to keep as much of the original structure as possible, the old doors and flooring. It is a clean and well kept property. The owners are very accommodating and have a quick response time, when I asked about staying another night. ”

You won’t regret renting it, and I can’t wait to visit again. There was one issue with the passkey- unfortunately we were not able to get there until almost midnight. So when we attempted to unlock the door it didn’t work. So I used the provided phone numbers, had to call a couple times before I got through, due to……

“The property was a blast back in time, with it being a repurposed school building. We loved the high ceilings, wood floors, and tile flooring. This place hit the spot.”

“The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit.”

“We loved staying at the property in Calumet. It was very clean and spacious. There were many small touches that made it comfortable. We did some cooking and found the kitchen well stocked. It has been nicely remodeled to keep the 'old time' feel while still remaining usable and efficient. It worked well as a home base to explore the Keweenaw. It is walkable to the bars and restaurants. The town is safe and friendly. We also enjoyed the history of Calumet and some of the architecture and……

“The apartment was very cute and stylish. A great repurpose of an industrial building. We enjoyed being in downtown Houghton and being able to walk to restaurants, stores and bars. Our car was able to be parked in a parking lot across the street from the apartment so it was easy to get out of town to explore the Keweenaw. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Houghton.”

“The property is very clean and well stocked with anything needed. The location was convenient for visiting my daughter at MTU and for accessing the beauty of Copper country. It was a short drive to Canyon Falls, MTU, and Hancock. We truly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion would be to add a curtain to the back door, and that is so minor. I most definitely recommend this property to folks visiting the area.”

“This place was very nice, everything you might need. I think it had central A/C, but there was also a window unit in the bedroom. It is a little annoying to have to type in two codes to exit and enter and it is near 41 so there is road noise and walking to Calumet is a little far. So this isn't super rustic or anything, but you can walk across the street to a gas station market so that is convenient.”

“Had a great time but a long way to travel and not know what house was mine to stay in. Glad cleaning people showed up or i would been sleeping in my car. They have serval house on property let that person now what house theirs staying i with the correct door code.”

“We loved the apartment! Very clean, comfy beds, and the perfect location for access to activities: beaches and rock hunting, copper mine tours, hiking and cross country skiing trails. There was no smell of fish since the nearby fish shop was closed. Would definitely stay here again!”

“We came up for winter carnival and the property was exact as advertised and expected. We were a little confused by the address; it was not totally clear to use that 302 Lincoln was the address, not just an apartment number. Also there were not quite enough utensils for 8, which is the listed capacity. We were overall very pleased the the property, location, parking etc. It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely stay again.”

“This was a perfect home for my sons wheelchair to maneuver thru and big enough for my our family to visit us while we were there. I can't wait to come back and make lots memories with my human angel son and my grankids!”
