“The house was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located right off the 101, and we thought highway noise might be a problem, but it wasn't. The parking spots are narrow but we managed just fine. Marx is very accommodating and the one night all the spots were taken, there was a permit for us to use to park on the street. He even offered parking service but we were happy to do it ourselves. The room was small but not too cramped. The bathroom was modern and clean. If you like softer beds……

“Excellent, accommodating Host. Very Helpful. It would be useful to have a lamp next to the bed or a light you could turn on from the bed. Otherwise, a very comfortable space and very clean. Very convenient to the Northern side of LA. You don’t have to fight the LA awful traffic to go most places on the North side. I would stay there again”

“We had a very nice 6-day stay here. Great hosts, great hospitality. Wish we took a picture of our breakfasts--very tasty and healthy. Plenty of places to sit outside, which was nice in the morning, but the Valley does get very hot at night in the summer. Thought there would be more road noise from Oxnard, but wasn't bad. AC runs in afternoon to mid-evening; we were able to open windows after that. Bed was fairly firm, but comfortable. Some snacks in the room and water in the……

“We were unable to find the property or reach Shaw Carter, the property manager (or whatever). We were stranded and Verbo found us a room at Best West. We had to pay for the night and decided to spend the additional 2 nights in Santa Monica. I tried to reach BW for itemized receipt but manager not in until Monday. Will send info asap. ”
