“We chose the hotel for it's convenient location in the city of Orotina , where we were visiting relatives . The staff was good , perhaps a little inattentive on check out. The reception office was closed and I had to look around for someone to return my key. Be advice there's is a very noisy soccer academy right next door . We were alocated on room 11 , close to the academy . It can be an issue if you are trying to rest early evening .”

“The house was beautiful- set in peaceful surroundings. The infinity pool overlooking the valley was stunning. All furnishings and appliances were top quality. We are a professional couple who were working remotely for a week and this place suited us perfectly. Visitors should be aware it is a little off the beaten track as are many of the most beautiful properties in Costa Rica but the property managers are knowledgeable and can be helpful in planning activities and excursions.”

“David is an amazing host, and his Villa is outstanding. We felt like we were on a resort, but didn’t have to spike a chair by the pool at 6 am. David went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. My Wife, Sister and Brother-in-Law spent 4 weeks, and the place was perfect for our longer term stay. Property manger looked after the yard, and made sure pool was clean, and BBQ always had propane! Thanks to Justino! We’ll be back David!”

“The main bed was small for two adults and the resort itself was a bit run down. The tennis courts and pool were not usable. The kitchen had a good supply of pans, utensils, and kitchen tools. The area itself was super quiet.”

“As a family of 3 adults, we enjoyed our stay at Roy's guest house. We chose it in part for its more rural setting though it is very close to town. We had hoped to use the large pool and hiking trails at the Adventist camp next door, but it was closed due a large event they were holding. We were pleased that the event was not noisy and Roy's place stayed quiet and peaceful. The guest house is some distance from the main house which is located on the other side of the pool. “Could not sleep - air conditioner sounds like a train (very noisy) Everything else was ok but could not sleep.”

“We paid a little extra for a balcony and Ocean view, and it was well worth it! We were overlooking the pool and it was so wonderful. The staff was so helpful and happy and smiling and willing to go the extra mile. Everything was clean, including the gym. Food was not great and was overpriced but I think that’s to be expected for a resort. Wish there was a Jacuzzi. Loved the pool bar and was able to watch the World Cup while eating drinking and swimming. There are not enough bikes and paddle……
