“The kitchen was fully equipped, including a toaster. The place was comfortable and nicely furnished. There is patio with a barbecue. A very pleasant stay.”

“Although well located, our unit needed a fair amount of TLC. in particular, the sofas were very dirty. As for the beds, the mattress needed a full replacement. I had to sleep on the couch in order not to feel pain from my back. As for the service, we had a good experience with the restaurant personnel as well as the purser. But the reception employee provided a sub par service. A final word, this resort has not the structure for individuals having a mobility impairment. ”

“Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon mit Meeressicht. Das Zimmer war ausreichend aber nicht sehr gross. Der Garten und auch der Pool waren schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Sehr kinderfreundlich gehalten. Die umliegenden Strände sind eher leer (Mitte Mai) und tolle Naturstrände ”

“We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. Breakfast is included……

“I booked a double room, and it was spacious and clean. The location is good - close to a supermarket and restaurant choices although a walk from the old town. Good for a stay if you're hiking the Fisherman's Trail although the luke warm shower wasn't all that ”

“Amazing property, kind staff”

“Unfortunately we seem to have been given the worst unit despite all the others being empty! No heater, broken shower head, shower draining too slowly to cope with the flow, table dangerously unstable, toilet consistently running, bench sofas which weren’t comfortable at all. ”

“This property was really nice. Seemed new. Thoughtful note and welcome basket. Receptionist was very friendly. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped. I highly recommend. My only caveat is to bring your own water as the water from the tap tasted undrinkable. ”

“Spectacular location on a cliff top overlooking a beautiful beach. Front desk and restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming. Shared the dining room with a noisy bus full, but otherwise had a very pleasant stay. Enjoyed a fine walk to the next town along, but not too near the cliffs to west of the Pousada. Booked a premium room, but offered a suite at no extra charge.”

“I drove up to the beach and saw this hotel. Its in an absolute perfect location. I first booked 1 night and booked 2 more after. A few restaurants around, plenty of parking. John at the front desk was great! I would stay in this hotel again.”

“The room was amazing: clean, spacious, and had a balcony with perfect views of the ocean and the pool area. Breakfast was typical and satisfying. I would not hesitate to stay here again!”

“Loved the location and grounds, doing some work on property, some of cabanas and gazebos needed work. Great path to cliffs, and pathways great. Breakfast was great, lots of selection. Pools looked lovely. Part of facility ran out of water our 2nd night and part of next day, no coffee etc at breakfast or shower access. It did come back, but we were checking out. Loved the authentic feeling of it.”
