“The hotel is a little out dated, but the location is amazing! The room felt dark and a bit 1980, but it had a lovely balcony with a view of the lake which was awesome.”

“We loved the paddleboards, kayaks, floating dock, and pontoon. So many fun things to do on the lake. The fishing was good. It was fun to see the turtles too. The deck off our cabin was wonderful to sit on anytime of day, the spaciousness of our cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Our kids all had their own room. The full kitchen made it super easy to make our own meals. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable indoor chairs to sit on, maybe updated beds and bedding, curtains. The……

“Shady Hollow deserves an easy 5 star rating. My husband and I stayed with our 5 children aged 1-8, and it was perfect. We all enjoyed the beach, beautiful lake view, swimming, paddle boards, fishing, pedal boat and kayaks, which was included in the cost. The lake was shallow enough for our kids to play safely and there were plenty of toys on the beach for them to use and build sand castles. Our kids loved going to the office to get a treat and talk to Diana, who was so accommodating. We did……

“We stayed 2 nights off-season so didn't really use the beach area - it looked nice. It was pleasant sitting by the lake - no bugs. The kitchen was adequately supplied and the table and chairs were perfect for the 4 of us. The beds were OK.”

“We couldn’t check in until four in the afternoon and had to be out by 10 in the morning on Sunday, and so even if you have two nights you feel as if you only had one day. The price was rather high for just one full day…. And two nights . It wasn’t on the lake but It was a clean and a decent rental unit.”

“This beach villa is nicely decorated and updated. The beds are comfortable and the owners thought of everything we might need! Communication was fast and helpful. The unit has a nice central location within the resort. The only reason that I didn't give all 5 star rating was because of the air conditioning set up in the two 'kid' bedrooms and the resort itself could use some repairs and upkeep. Overall, a great stay and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun family vacation.”

“This is a cute motel. The property was clean and we had excellent communication. We were able to get an early check in when we called which was wonderful. Check in and check out was easy and convenient which doesn’t always happen with motels which have been updated. The walls are paper thin, so if you are a person that needs quiet I would say this is not the place for you. The bathroom was clean but the tub was not updated(think pink). This meant a nice big tub even if it was pink from another……

“Weekend away wheeling around and enjoying the outdoors. Cabin was cute, clean and had everything we needed. Eric was very welcoming and shared great local information. Would definately recommend!!! We plan to stay again next winter to check out the area snowmobiling”
