"We managed to park outside which was great very useful. We got there a little bit early but Diane at the reception desk was fantastic. We got all booked in up in the room off to adventure in the Docklands. The room was lovely and tidy. Very neat everything that you needed very warm had to open the window but all the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again I think they’re a fantastic location and absolutely brilliant staff. Thanks for a wonderful day Cliff. "
"great location, my son is in uni halls greetham street, Portsmnouth can be tricky to park, and is in walking distance for the shops, there is onsite parking, only 2 small disabled bays, but managed to park both nights "
"We had a wonderful stay at Bury Villa in Gosport! The house looked even grander in person than in the pictures, and there were some lovely touches on check in that really showed care - dining table already laid out beautifully, folded towels on the beds like swans, that sort of thing! Everyone in our group slept very well and had no complaints about anything. The beds and living areas were all very clean and comfortable; kitchen was spotless and extremely well appointed for a large group. The fact that there is a bathroom/toilet for every bedroom was excellent too. We were very happy with everything! We had no issues with the stay, communication, and service on the run up to our stay was great and helpful, the team could answer any question very quickly, the handover/check in process was conducted in person and helpful. One thing to be aware of is the size of house and number of bathrooms - if everyone staying wants to shower in morning or at night that's a lot of hot water demand so I would suggest if staying here to put the heating on well ahead of when needed and to plan ahead and stagger when guests are using baths & showers so that they are all nice and hot for everyone. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"
Windward Retreat - an apartment that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
8/10 Good
"The property is beautifully appointed and in an ideal location for a sea view and a short walk to some great restaurants. Likewise it is a short drive to Gosport with easy access to car parks and cheap foot passenger ferry across to Portsmouth's Gun Wharf Quays complex. The booking process was easy and communication with the hosts chosen agents is excellent - very easy to check in and out by means of a key safe on the outside of the property. The television is a smart tv which asks you to input your check in and out dates so your apps when logged in (Netflix, Prime, BBC iPlayer etc) automatically log out on departure so youre not left logged in - nice touch. The only points preventing a full five star rating are minor but worth noting.1. There is no free onsite parking. You can pay and display (valid 10am - 6pm) which for the day is approx 10 or the agents can arrange parking at 10 p/d nearby. There are streets nearby where you can chance free parking but theyre residential, fill up very quickly and on my trip a resident questioned whether I lived in the street. Not a showstopper but worth knowing.2. The accommodation does not have an oven. It does have a small induction hob (although this is almost directly under the wall mounted boiler), toaster and a microwave oven. This was fine for my visit as I ate out during the day and evening and only used the kitchenette for breaakfast and hot drinks. All in all a lovely clean property in a great location at a reasonable price."
