“Not worth the money. This hotel gets very little maintenance from what we observed. A few things didn't work like the sidewalk lights leading to the Castle view restaurant. You walk at night in pitch dark. You need to use the flashlight on your phone to ensure you don't trip, it's so dark. According to staff, lights have not been working for months. For wine they show 4 different kinds of wine available in both red and white but they only keep 2 of each on stock and not even the ones listed on……

“Rooms were nice and staff was friendly. Property was fine. They are definitely on vacation time as meals are slow (2+ hours for a meal). The restaurants leave a bit to be desired. Poesia was not great at all - probably the worst meal in our party we had in the whole island and the worst Italian. The place is new but the chef is trying to be too creative with limited access to ingredients. A few people had a shrimp dish with tomatoes and no-one had tomatoes in it. Azure is okay - mediocre. “We booked last minute due to a flight cancellation, the owner and onsite property manager were lovely to deal with and accomodated us. We were given clean sheets and 2 towels and the bed was made. It was comfortable, the pullout divan was stained and not comfortable, those things typically are not. The place had not been cleaned and there was no handsoap and little toilet paper. The outside area was very nice, the inside area is like a very rustic old north american cottage. Very old gas……

“We were stranded on the island by the air traffic controller strike. I appreciate the staff opening their door for us to stay at a much higher rate. The place is hard to get to, far from being clean, no amenities like mini fridge, hair blower, safe and etc. ”

“I booked this property through Expedia under stressful circumstances — Barbados air traffic controllers went on strike, my flight was canceled, and I was stranded along with many other travelers. I found this listing, booked it, received a confirmation number, and paid for a taxi to get there. When I arrived, the owner told me she had no room for me and that the property was fully booked. Our recent stay here was genuinely lovely, largely thanks to the fantastic staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire trip.
