We had a lovely stay prior to a wedding. The room was very nice, special mention to the extremely nice guy dealing with breakfast, if he wasn’t the owner he’s a credit to the business.

Clean and well serviced in the rooms. There was a wedding party when we were there that was very noisy and although they had a great time it was difficult to hold a conversation in the restaurant in the evening, that's why I gave good rather that excellent.

Stayed in the loft double room for 3 nights. The room is quite rustic and not massive. It did have an en-suite shower room. However, it does need some updating as the sink is cracked and the shower and tiling quite dated. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was top notch, plentiful and extremely tasty.

The bed was super comfy and a king size. Towels were fluffy and big. Room was hot but it was the time of the heatwave and a fan was already in the room so all good. The breakfast was delicious and loads of it. The staff were also great, particularly Jimmy who showed us to our room, he served us a pint and said that if it was not up to standard, to let him know and he’d change it! All great customer service, all round from everyone at the Nags Head - well done all!

We stayed 4 nights in "the annex" of The Nags Head while attending the Goodwood Revival in Sept. Although the price was crazy expensive at £450 per night for a basic hotel room and breakfast, at the time we booked we couldn't find anything cheaper that was as close to the train and bus station. (It's an easy walk through the historic center, past inviting shops and restaurants.) The "annex" rooms are around the corner from the main in and pub, and the separation was no problem. The area felt safe and it was quite quiet since it was not directly on St. Pancras Street. (Even St. Pancras is not a particularly noisy street.) Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast got us off to a good start. (Have the smoked haddock if you can!) But what made our stay most memorable were the attentive staff members who made us feel like were at home. Tom, Jimmy and Ricky (Rickie?) had smiles for us every time we saw them, and there helpfulness and cheerfulness were so welcoming. Nags Head is clean and tidy because Ricky takes her job seriously...and does it with a smile. And we felt like Jimmy wanted to be sure everything went well for us and that he'd help us solve any problem that came up. We really felt that we were surrounded by friends. With such kind staff, we're happy to recommend The Nags Head!

The room was clean (slightly compact, but OK for 1 night) and the bed comfortable, and we slept well (= temperature right/controllable and no noticeable noise disturbances through the night) The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were efficient We ate in the restaurant and had a promptly served and well cooked, tasty meal Breakfast (included) was really good too Overall good value for money (especially compared to a different Chichester hotel we stayed in previously which was ~20% more expensive and failed on a couple of the points mentioned above, and didn't include breakfast either Our visit was to go to the Festival Theatre, and the Nags Head was perfect for that, and easily within walking distance Thanks to all the staff!
