「We were tired of being around all the tourists and wanted something that said “Welcome to Colorado”. This was the place. We received emails from the resort with detailed directions on driving and registration that were easy to follow. The five mile drive up the gravel road took a little longer than expected because a flock of sheep that decided they needed to cross the road in front of us! 「It was a beautiful place! Loved our location. Close to the hot springs pools and right on the river. We could see and hear it from our rooms balcony. Slept with the window open and listened to it all night and it was awesome. There was also a trail loop that ran along the river that you could just hop on and enjoy. 「Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Ridiculous that the property is “100% smoke-free” yet every time you walk outside you walk right into a smoking area. The smoking areas should be MUCH further away from the doors. Breakfast was mediocre. Omelets were cold and overcooked. Bacon was literally half raw.」
