Our sink and bathtub and bed were clean everything else was dirty! There was hair all over the bathroom floor from multiple people and the whole room needed to be swept and vacumed.we were put in a handicap room which was NOT what we wanted and didn't offer any other room available

The continental breakfast was amazing. So many options. We wanted a hotel with a pool and this one was supposed to have one. When we got there we were told the pool was closed for maintenence but when we went and looked at it, it was very obvious that the pool has not been opened for years. So that should be removed as a amenity until the pool is actually working. Location was good, lots of resturants around and it was very close to my son's home in Mentor who we were visiting.

The only real issue we had was the elevator. We got stuck for a very brief time. We went to the desk and she told us they knew it wasn’t working properly. Probably should have had a sign to let people know. Otherwise, the hotel was fine!

Breakfast was great, really loved the pancake maker. Room was nice itself, surfaces and floors were not cleaned properly (I have been a housekeeper for 6 years) bed was clean. Most annoying issue was the AC made a loud sound every time it switched off which was frequently given that it was a hot day. Loud enough to wake you up out of your sleep.

So here's the thing: this hotel was under renovation and shouldn't have even been available to book. But the staff didn't let that phase them when my daughter and I showed up. Yes, there were a lot of remnants of construction work hanging around, but honestly, we barely knew they were there. The breakfast was plentiful and good, the staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable and quiet. Should we need to stay in Mentor again, I will definitely go back once it is fully open.

Property was closed for renovations. Telephone disconnected. Had to hurriedly rebook at another hotel at my own expense. Many hotels fully booked nearby. Very stressful. Awaiting refund from Expedia.
