“This is a giant, rambling old mansion that has been converted into lodging. I wish we'd had more time to discuss its history with our host Maria. We wound up here because our original choice had a fire, and we had to find a place at the last minute. We were here to tour the university and it's about a 25 minute hike. In the end, our room was comfy, cool and quiet, and that's what's important to us. BTW, Uber works really well in Coimbra.”

"We greatly enjoyed our stay with CBR Boutique Hotel. The location is very central, right next to the river and main street with plenty of shops and restaurants. The themed rooms are stylish and clean. The breakfast is simple but good and definitely enough to fill you up. What impressed me the most was the staff's hospitality and helpfulness, as they looked out for me and helped me recover my valuables. I am deeply grateful to them for saving my trip! Will definitely stay with them if I visit Coimbra again."
