“The place was clean and contemporary. We did get a free upgrade when we arrived that added a couple of bedrooms. There’s an attendant at the building’s entrance 24/7 and a code required so we felt secure. The place is incredibly close to China town. It’s a pretty good walk to an EL so we Ubered to/from the blue line with luggage, but walked to the red line to get to Wrigley. They have a pretty well equipped gym with dumbbell pairs to around 75#, a cage, benches, and plates and straight bar……

“Do not book here. We booked same day and were traveling to Chicago from the east coast by car. I’m sure it’s normal to ask for a security deposit while booking but they sent us a message while we were on the road after our booking had already been confirmed. We were driving across the country and not checking our messages — they sent a message saying they would cancel our booking if we didn’t send the $300 deposit within an hour. We didn’t see that message until we got to Chicago and therefore……

“Overall experience is pretty good. The instructions to access the unit is clear and self explanatory and I can get to the place without much problem. The thing I like most is the location. It is very conveniently located and is close to blue line subway which takes only 10-15 minutes to downtown. Bus is also very accessible and friendly. “The unit was exactly as described in the listing and offered excellent value for the price. The location was also hard to beat, with easy access to downtown Chicago and nearby attractions. For the cost and convenience, it’s a very attractive option. I did not experience any communication issues with the host during my stay, and everything I needed was provided. That said, based on the level of interaction, I could see communication potentially becoming a concern if a significant issue arose……

I know check out was listed as 10 AM but I have never stayed anywhere that the cleaner showed up exactly on the dot, then proceeded to stand there until you left. (We were basically ready but just needed to finish gathering our things.)”

“First of all, the property has the potential to be beautiful. Conveniently located downtown. But there are issues. The place is dirty. Disgustingly dirty. My girlfriend found mold in the master bathroom, both under the toilet seat and on the shower heads. This needs to be cleaned thoroughly. The towels were stained. We found hair in our bed before we even got in the bed. Gross. The rooftop terrace is dangerous and should not be accessible to guests. The wood planking is warped and has holes in……
