Rollercoaster of a stay

We arrived around 11pm. We had no issues with unlocking the door, but as soon as we did, we felt no relief from the hot humidity outside. We immediately checked the thermostat, and it was reading 85 degrees. We lowered it and walked away hoping it would kick on, it did not. So, we went in search for a breaker box to reset everything, we couldn't find one in the house, I called and messaged the host. I called a second time, and she answered. We found the breaker box- reset all the switches and went back inside to see if it worked. It did not. It's now 86 degrees inside. The host said she could see that it was reading 86 on her end. She said there was a big storm a few days ago and it must have done something to the unit. (so the thermostat had been reading 80+ degrees prior to our arrival and you didn't think to check that?) We asked if there was a different property she could put us at for the night and we can return to this one once the ac issue was fixed. She said if went to another property because we have to rebook and we couldn't stay at this property. We booked this place for the pool...we slept miserably at the house and gathered our things and took them with us in the morning in case the ac issue wasn't resolved by the end of the day. She refunded us for one night. The AC issue was resolved so returned. That evening, in the kitchen, we saw a roach. The next day- we ran the dishwasher, and it leaked everywhere! It felt like one thing after the other.
