「This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. Cairn Eididh Frosty day in December looking towards the glacial trough of Fionn-abhainn and the mountains of Torridon in the distance. To south-west lies the little crofting hamlet of Coulags and the start of the walk to Annat. Lots of deer graze the area. No sheep at this height. Fox and a few eagles.
