The Glendale Hotel is one of those older, well-established two-story properties that's really more of a motel than hotel. It worked perfectly well for me as a solo business traveler, but it was standard fare — nothing particularly unique.
Although I didn't require or request it, they put me in a fairly large, plain-jane room with handicap access. Little to no art adorning the walls.
Good features for business use. A dining table, a desk and plenty of outlets for electronics.
Staff was very friendly.
$15 charge for overnight parking.

No parking was available, and we had to park several blocks down because there was no street parking by hotel since it is in a residential area.
The breakfast was awful and the room was very old and outdated. Pre- packaged brownies, muffins, and oatmeal was what they had for breakfast. The customer service/interaction with hotel staff was scarce and minimal and they didn’t seem to care either way that they had guests. We also had to ask someone to come fix our tv because it wasn’t working. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed for 3 days and I wasn’t expecting much due to the other reviews. It’s not a huge 5 star hotel but it was quiet and I was comfortable. The room was a little small but overall still comfortable. It wasn’t the best view outside. The staff were great, check in was simple and they placed a hold of $100 on my card which was removed the day after I left (other hotels kept the hold for days/weeks).

"The entire floor smelled of a water leak. It was to be a resort with 4 restaurants. The only meal was food in a crowded room brought up from down stairs. Only fair quality at a very high price. Staff were all very nice though."
