“Nice”

“Our room had mold on the window and on the blinds. It was on the inside of the blinds and outside. There was also a terrible musky wet smell in the room. The ceiling & headboards to the beds appeared to have a mildew/mold. I addressed it with the manager that didn’t seem to be surprised by it. Not my first visit to this hotel stayed a few years ago didn’t notice these issues but will be my last.”

“First there was no hot water like warm showers at best. Room wasn’t cleaned properly, still garbage, crumbs on carpet. Had to ask several times over two days to get a fourth bath towel. Maid service only comes every two days. Hotel in a good under from the French quarter. Your better finding a hotel closer and paying the parking fees.”

“The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.”

“I’d definitely stay here again. The staff, cleanliness of room and premises were on point and the breakfast was perfect for my family.”

“In general, I liked the hotel and the rooms were very clean. I had booked the hotel because it had a hot tub, but unfortunately it wasn't working when we got there. We notified the staff (who apparently didn't know how a hot tub worked) It still wasn't working when we left, 6 days later. Had a coffee maker in the room, but had to request regular coffee, and front desk didn't seem to want to make any effort in finding any.”

“I loved my experience at the Mercantile. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was very convenient to the convention center and other places. The bedding was comfortable, and I loved having a separate sitting room. If I attend another conference at the convention center, it will be my go-to place.”

“The hotel was nice. My room was just like any other hotel room but I could see flaws here & there nothing big. The place is so big it seemed to take forever to get from the parking garage to my room. I did not realize that they charge you $25 per day ($10 credit for food & drinks, & $15 for laundry), who would use $15/day for laundry?? I also had to pay $50 per day for parking!! Why don't they put the $15 laundry credit toward parking? That would make it much better at least for me. I went for a……

“Staff was friendly. Restaurant was on site a the bar staff was excellent. Rooms were large but lighting was poor and the beds were not great. We would stay again based on the location to a Frenchman’s street. ”
