“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “I understand there is a shortage of staff in this economy, but no staff at check in is the first time I have experienced. ”

“Well, first of all the bathroom window couldn’t be secured, so the clerk gave me a wooden board to secure the window. There was no phone in the room. The front window needs to be cleaned. Otherwise the room was fine. One big plus was the comfortable king size bed 🛌. Would I go back to stay for the price of a room. NO ”

“Beautiful room, lovely grounds, very peaceful. Had a wonderful time, would 100% stay here again. ”

“We loved staying here! My girlfriend and I stayed here on New Year's Eve and had a great stay. The inn is quaint and quiet, which made for a really pleasant way to ring in the new year. The room we had was very comfortable and unique. We drank wine at the wine bar in the lobby for most of our evening, and sat by the fireplace in our room for the rest of the time. Breakfast in the morning was really tasty as well, with a lot of different options. We would highly recommend this place to anyone……

“We came in winter and we were the only one group of guest on that day. Room is not large but enough for two people. Water pressure for shower is not as good as normal hotel, which may due to their location.”

“The good: This hotel is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable and, the first night, very quiet. The tiny town is charming, an architectural throwback. Nice bakery across the street. The not so good: The hotel has no staff on site - literally never saw an employee. Since I had no cell phone service in the entire area and the hotel has no landline phones accessible by guests, the only way to communicate was via internet. So, when internet service went completely out……

“Room smelled of sewage. The bathroom was very small with a sliding door. We got the room because we saw a jacuzzi/spa in the listing, but it wasn’t running. Bummer! The speak easy was very cool though and the included breakfast was a plus.”
