「Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others」

「Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice.」

「I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels.」

「Room was very clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was a continental. The beach view was really nice. The rooms are serviced every other day so ensure you take shower gel with you as the bottle provided is enough for 1 wash only. I would stay here again. Thanks.」

「We had a two night stay at the Welbeck Hotel. Whilst the decor in the room appeared dated, it was very clean and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.」

「The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. 」

「The opel express was very clean and the breakfast very good with plenty of choice the room had excellent amenities provided ,with a kettle in room and tea coffee and water topped up daily, only saw staff at breakfast and checkout, it was self check in with key to room left in a safe, the room did have a ceiling fan which was very noisy and could only use with the light on, I was there during a very hot period so not much comfort throughout the night, the view from the room was not good looking...

「Loved the comfy bed and ease back down to the Prom! We walked to Queen for dinner and parked the rental without problems!! We did fine with many flights of stairs. Great location!!!!」

「No complaints. Beds were very comfortable and warm, despite it being chilly in the evenings. Great location too for quarterbridge, bray hill and even the fan park if you’re happy to walk for a bit. 」
