「My friend and I came into the hotel late and settled in. We immediately noticed the couch was filthy but decided that we just wouldn’t use it since we would be there less than 12 hours. When my friend was in the shower I pulled back the sheets and discovered that there was blood on the sheets and at least one of the pillows. I felt grossed out by this as I didn’t know where else hadn’t been cleaned so I called front desk and requested to switch rooms, they hotel was clearly not fully booked, but...

As we settled in, we discovered the smoke alarm was completely missing, one TV remote had no batteries, the other did not operate the TV, and the refrigerator emitted a strong rotten fish-like odor that filled the room when opened. 「The property was listed as having free continental breakfast- there was no breakfast, only coffee. There was constant noise/ talking in the stairwell through 2.30am. The TV didn’t work, the bathroom sink was not caulked and was held in place by 2x4s. No soap holder in the shower- the bracket was there. Hot water took 4 - 5 minutes to come through. There were no lamps in the room so bright fluorescent lighting or nothing」
