“The room and facilities are old looking and small. Especially for the bathroom. But the beds are clean and tidy and provide car parking. ”

“This was a lovely and unique experience. The hotel is just a few miles outside Oban but we felt like we were far away, in the beautiful Scottish countryside. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, the room was quiet and comfortable. We ate at both restaurants and had superior meals every time. They had live music from a local trio one evening in the lounge and they were absolutely delightful! We highly recommend this lovely place!”

“At check in we were allocted a room on 3rd floor and informed the lift was out of order. As my Wife has a heart condition and is awaiting surgery this was unsuitable. we were informed that Expedia had been informed of the lack of a lift and that they (Expedia) should have advised us of this fact before we arrived. We stayed in the hotel for only one night checking out on the 27th June as my Wife found the stairs extremely difficult, having to stop and recover at each landing. I have to say that……

“I was very disappointed with the facilities provided by the hotel to its paid guests. Occupants were not allowed to use the sauna and needed to book well in advance, and it's closed at 5pm, and if you are free in the evening, you don't have access to it. Also, it only allows you a 30-minute slot.”

“The Whiskey Vault business runs a a bar restaurant plus a small hotel. The best of this accommodation is its convient town center location. The room we had is clean but space is really tight. When we arrived at around dinner time, the hotel receptionist was not there so we checked in with the staff at the bar. Actually we had no contact with the hotel receptionist during our two-night stay. Better than anticipated, noise in late evening was non-issue for our stay during a weekend. There is no……

“Stunning views and location. Easy access to the hustle and bustle of Oban. The pub downstairs was lovely. Really friendly staff too and great food. Our beds were comfy and the room was a sufficient size. Access to a communical kitchen was great to prepare breakfast and you could also buy continental breakfast provisions (including gluten free options).”

“The hotel was okay no elevator. Pillows were hard and the beds uncomfortable. The bathroom door would creek when you open it . No A/C but I knew that before I booked it. We did have a fan in the room but it was so hot the fan did nothing. The breakfast was very nice as well as the service from the staff . Very close to the shops .”
