Super friendly staff. Excellent dinner menu and breakfast. Room was adequate for short stay, but disappointing that the window didn't close properly which resulted in noise from the street and railway line nearby.

We stayed for 1 night in September 2026. The hotel was exceptionallyl well-run, with personal, friendly, and cheerful service. Be aware there is no lift.Wonderful breakfast with great variety, catering to specific dietary needs. Would definitely stay again if in the area. A real gem!

great little stay, nice Pub/Hotel, locals are friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent, East Linton was a great little village, with a watermill and Dovecote walk to explore. but be warned it was very hot day when we stayed, so we had the windows open, the village church/clock nearby its bells ring on the hour from 8am to 11pm and the East Coast main railway line is close too, so the trains rattle through till late, it did not bother us we found it a bit of a laugh tbh.
