It was a nice weekend stay with the hotel being very conveniently located within walkable distance to the Old Town and the main city centre and yet it was quiet and peaceful. Good dining options nearby. And the staff was very helpful and cordial.

We loved our stay at The Resident and would highly recommend it for anyone trying to go to Edinburgh and be close to everything but not have to wade through tourists when getting back for the evening. The location was perfect and the room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great which was a must-have during the hottest week of the year!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK (and I've been staying at quite a few 5 star hotels). The staff was professional, friendly, and accomodating. Place was excellent, very clean and staff in the hotel were fantastic. Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and again with the staff, very warm and welcoming, it was great.
