"Pool was closed for a while day, you could totally tell pool wasn’t very clean. They were fixing tiles on it every night and scraping away at it. Buffet was closed two nights in one week because hotel did not have more than 1400 people. Did not like the food in à la carte restaurants. Buffet food the SAME every single day it remained open to a point of us getting bored of the same thing and not that much variety. Buffet restaurant staff wouldn’t come to your table to serve water or drinks unless you waited and called them to the table and mind you we were tipping every time we sat at a restaurant. Everything closes at 11:00pm except the disco, so if you are not a disco person that’s it the night was over because absolutely everything is shut down at that time. The coffee place was excellent aswell as the shows. Air conditioning at restaurants and lobby which is a plus compared to some other resorts."

"We had a 4 night stay at this resort. Staff was rude and not so attentive if you were not giving a tip. Food was not good only in the sports bar. We also paid to upgrade and those upgrades wasn’t met! We arrived in the room and it was open beverage in the mini fridge. Night two it was a roach in the mini fridge! We asked to change rooms they moved our rooms and gave our upgrade fee back which was supposed to be returned within 14 business days it has not been returned. I’ve made several attempts to contact them and they just keep hanging up. Also, Hotel staff also told us that they had a free shuttle to the mall which turned out not to be free. They wanted us to pay 150 American dollars after we returned to the hotel. and on different occasions someone enter our room while we were asleep. They were not housekeeping and did not announce themselves. I can go on and on about my stay, but I would never stay at any excellence resort ever again based on this experience."

"Horrible for allergies. They asked if you had allergies and than never gave us any food like they didn’t understand what gluten or dairy was. No one spoke English. The pools were dirty every day. The excursion were not even great and a rip off. We had a mouse in our room. Charged us 100$ for a “fire show and dinner that (served the same food at the buffet)to watch a guy blow into a stick for legit 10 mins with people dancing behind him with no fire. I have traveled A LOT in life and to many many different places and I have never wrote a review on a place and usually don’t but figured people would like to know at least about the allergies. I would not come back to the DR again."

"Beautiful Resort! However, the first day our room had a very bad smell, we notified front desk representative of the issue and we were moved to an upgraded room at midnight. This is a Family hotel kid-friendly resort with adult only accommodations on one side. If you don’t select adult only at time of reservation you will be provided with a room on the family side with all the guests with small children. All shows are for Families, no adults only shows. You will party with the families and their children. The spa is nice but very expensive, the staff was really nice."
