「Great breakfast, clean room, heat and hot water, and very friendly staff! Little outdated in the hallways but rooms were nice. Has free parking so that’s nice too. 」

「The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs 」

「The accommodation was ok needs some maintenance on sealant round toilet unit and sink unit but no biggy. Comfortable and good value for money. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The cooked breakfast had elements that were dried out black pudding/haggis and tomatoes the potato scones had been deep fried and were very greasy. Other items were freshly cooked, pancakes. I would go back but go self catering」

「Lovely welcome from June. Our top floor bedrooms were bright and comfortable with a pretty view. The ensuite bathrooms were small but clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the kind and friendly attitude with regards to our todddler.」

Staff were all great throughout, check-in was straightforward and painless, room was immaculate and comfortable, even better than it looked in pics. Breakfast was fantastic too (don't miss the porridge with whisky and honey!). Will definitely be back on our next trip to the area.」

「The hotel, restaurant and coffee shop were bustling with New Year revellers. The hotel accommodation is rustic. Rooms are bit too small for the size of the beds - no space for luggage. Plenty of options for a pint or a bite to eat, either in the hotel itself or in the village. Great spot for scenic walks and the smokehouse at the back does some great fayre. Staff are friendly and accommodating. 」
