Wonderful home, great location

This house is a couple blocks from the ocean and a half mile walk to town. Everything is walkable. Perfect location. Well maintained home as well. Just the perfect size for us! We look forward to returning in the future.

First Visit To Folly Beach

The unit is clean. The beds are comfortable. We loved that the unit is dog friendly (and there's not additional charge which is bonus!) The kitchen is remodeled and has nice appliances.The unit is across from a Pickleball court that is very busy...so hopefully you won't mind the noise. It's also directly across from the water tower so not a great view but, who's looking out the window when you're only a short walk to the beach! This unit is three blocks from the beach so an easy walk...it's about seven or eight blocks to the Folly Pier and the center of town where there are lots of restaurants. We found it to a good location and a nice area for walking the dog. Though the unit states it sleeps six...and that's technically true...it would be tight for that many...especially with only one very small bathroom. It's a duplex. We didn't hear the neighbors at all but that could be an issue if you really want privacy. All in all for our first trip to the area which is a beautiful place to visit, it was a good place to stay for the price charged.

Hope the AC unit is fixed!

We had minimal issues with check in process other than not being able to connect to WiFi because the network could not be found. I thought, who needs WiFi, we’re at the beach ? But it was inconvenient as we were unable to connect and email the host (there was no way to contact directly by phone). The location is great, close to beach, clean, but the first night we realized the dryer was not shutting off, creating a potential fire risk! The morning of our last nights stay, my daughter was cooking breakfast and our AC unit clearly stopped working because it quickly heated up to almost 90 degrees by 11am that morning, even with the windows open there was no breeze so we decided to pack up and go to the beach because it was cooler outside!We had a long drive ahead of us in the morning so after dinner we came back showered and tried to go to bed. None of us slept well in the sauna. We packed up and left at 5:30am the next morning. Great space, comfy beds; but had to leave early because of the broken AC. I emailed the host & initially they responded then ghosted me when I asked for a refund for the one night with no AC. I’d be happy to remove this post if they make right on their wrong.
