We had a great stay here from December 15 to January 9. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. We received fresh linens and bedsheets every Monday, which was a really nice touch. Communication with the host was super easy and smooth throughout our stay. The location is excellent, close to everything, though if you’re walking, be prepared for a steep hill from the main road — consider it a built-in workout! Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d definitely recommend it.

The apartment is big and clean.well located in s. Martinho, near forum Madeira. Oceano view. Beds are very confortable. The parking spot on the Garage had aparently a dificult acess but we always had parking spots on the street, for free. Well equiped kitchen , with dishwasher machine, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster. The pool is small but nice.

Nice well equipped apartment, good location, needs more cleaning

The property has a very good location, close to everything. The road in front of the building is very noisy, we can hear the traffic early in the morning in the room situated on that side. The back room was very quiet. There is a construction behind the building but that noise didn't bother us. However, it brought a lot of dust into the apartment. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice and comfortable balcony. Very good bakeries and restaurants nearby (especially the Italian Pizzeria Lume). Shopping center, pharmacies, Praia Formosa beach close to the apartment. We had a car but there is a bus station in front of the building. Well equipped kitchen, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and everything for cleaning. The water heater in the kitchen was very noisy but only when we opened the hot water. The apartment is nice and comfortable but the cleanliness wasn't spotless (coach, bathrooms, bedsheets, windows).

Piornais Residence I

The apartment is well equipped and in excellent condition. We were two couples staying, so it was great to have two modern bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out. We also enjoyed the pool area, which was very welcomed on hot days or when returning from a long day out exploring. The apartment is situated a bit out from the main town. This was good for us as we did not want to be caught up in the hustle and bustle of the main town or tourist area. There was a good bus service to and from the city centre at the end of the hill. We also discovered some very good local bars and restaurants nearby. The apartment is also situated about 10 minutes walking distance from the popular 'Forum' shopping centre containing many clothing and food shops as well as various restaurants and cafes. There is also a lovely swimming area near the Forum shopping area. It is very attractive being sea water and created around the rocks. Booking the apartment with, 'An Island Apart' was very easy and trouble free. The personnel are very efficient and friendly. We were especially grateful to them, as on the day of departure, we had a late flight back to London and they arranged a late check out and also a taxi to the airport. I would definitely book this apartment again, however, it may not be suitable for those who finding walking uphill difficult. There is also a busy road outside and a building site nearby, however this won't be there for ever.
