Aqua Sound - Luxury Villa w/ Private Pool, Beach and Dock

Aqua Sound is situated on the clear waters of Master Harbour, directly on the beach. Twenty-two feet of glass doors and windows across the open concept living and dining rooms frame the stunning view of the bay. Our spectacular terrace, which has ceiling fans and is also shaded by a traditional Bahamian roof, creates the perfect spot for watching the boats sail en route to George Town or just relaxing in the breeze with a good book. The garden has palm trees, oleander, hibiscus and other wonderful tropical plants which are illuminated at night, as is the heated pool.
The entire house is air conditioned and has ceiling fans throughout. It has an open plan living room and dining room which have wonderful views of the bay. There is a very comfortable living room set as well as a TV, stereo, games, puzzles and books. The Dining Room seats 6 people comfortably and has a convenient hatch through to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge freezer, oven, microwave, wine cooler, electric kettle, toaster, ice cream maker, and mixer. There is a washer and dryer in the 'wash house' next door.
The house consists of 4 ensuite bedrooms.The master suite at the west end of the house is furnished with a king bed, closet, large shower and bath, WC and hairdryer. This room boasts a spectacular view of the bay and Crab Cay and has direct access to the terrace and swimming pool. There are 2 guest bedrooms in the main house thateach have two separate twin beds, shower and bath, WC and hairdryer. They both have large closets for storage. There is a separatecottage with a king bed that is just steps from the main house.

The terrace runs the full length of the ocean side of the house. You can enjoy a meal at the large outdoor dining table in the evening or lounge on the deck chairs. The private garden has an abundance of tropical plants (hibiscus, palms, oleander etc.)and also a large paved area for sitting around the pool. The garden and pool can both be lit up at night.The heated pool is a fabulous luxury! It is perfect for jumping into first thing in the morning, refreshing during the day and wonderful for cooling off in the evening while it's lit up!

Beautiful property / excellent location / good communication

Loved this house! It was perfect for our family to celebrate my grand daughters's 16th b'day! The location was excellent, communication was very good and we rec'd helpful info in an online booklet about the island, things to do, restaurants, etc. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had all the utensils, pans, etc. that you would need including cleaning supplies. One correction to property amenities list is that there is not an ice cream maker and no hammock. There were a few spices and some coffee/filters for us to use. Be aware the grocery stores run out of many basic items, esp right before they receive shipments from mainland and have limited items. Also, be aware it is an island and things happen beyond the home owners control. Like internet was very weak while we were there and only worked in the same room as the router. This was only an issue with our teens. Also, the water went out for most of a day and couldn't have happened at a more inconvenient time for us as we were all trying to prep for a big evening out to celebrate after a long day out on the sun. This was an issue for the entire neighborhood but we had no way of knowing. The pool was small but cool and clean and there were a couple floatie toys for kids. Due to flies / mosquitoes we found it impossible to eat outside on the beautiful patio area but was perfect for relaxing as long as there was no food. Everything worked perfectly, we used the propane grill a couple times. We would return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful home on exceptional property with guest house

We loved everything about our stay at Aqua Sound! The pictures don't do it justice, meaning the property met our expectations plus some! Everything went as planned. The house and guest house was extremely clean and very inviting. They dropped us a pin so finding the house was easy even in the dark. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed inside and outside. I sat on the deck every morning to watch the sunrise...so peaceful. Beautiful outdoor area, you feel like you're on your own little island even though there are houses nearby the landscape hides those houses. We loved the outdoor space! We used the covered back porch, swimming pool, kayaks and paddleboards each day. The outdoor furniture (back porch and around the pool) was very comfy as well. We can not wait until our next visit to Exuma and look forward to staying in this wonderful beach house again soon! Thanks for the memories! Love, The Massey Family

Gorgeous Home for any occasion

We spent 5 days at this amazing property. I would recommend this house and it’s management for may reasons. We utilized this property to its fullest capability. The property manager Rose and Tina assisted us with all aspects of our wedding. From dress cleaning to a superb chef, hair and makeup, pastor and all aspects in between. Beautiful property in Excuma

Property was absolutely beautiful but online listing has property listed with 2 king bedrooms but in reality it only has one king bedroom, two bedrooms with two twin beds in the main house and one bedroom with a single bed in a separate outhouse that has a washer/dryer in it. The grounds and the main house were exceptional.

Great house!

The house is in great condition and newly remodeled, kitchen has what you need for family, and having a boat at the dock was great! Just around the corner 5min boat ride to the sandbar, 15mins boat ride to Chat n Chill. Would rent again!

Island Paradise

The house was even better than the photos (if that's possible!). Martin was so helpful and attentive, and provided everything we needed and quickly responded to any issues that arose. The rooms are big and open, great A/C and fans, the kitchen fully-stocked, and all the water toys we needed. The wifi was strong and fast, as well (teens appreciated that!). We loved the close location to town, too. The beach isn't really swimmable due to the rocks and tide, but we loved getting out on the boat everyday (the best way to experience Exuma anyway!). The pool is a nice addition, and we used it daily, too. The grounds are stunning, but unfortunately, mosquito-magnets...so we weren't able to sit outside during sunset and evening. Perhaps some candles or a fog spray would help. We'd 100% stay here again and recommend!

Enjoyed our stay at Aquasound. Martine was very attentive to a few minor plumbing & electrical issues we experienced. Happy that we rented the boat and explored other islands. Enjoyed having the pool, kayaks & paddle boards too!

Turn up the light!

Insufficient lighting in dining rm. they provide games, but you cannot see clearly enough. The ad said a cell phone would be provided. It was not. We questioned it and nothing was resolved. Fortunately one of us had a phone but had to pay excessive roaming charges to maintain contact. We sent several emails asking if snorkel fins were on the property so we wouldn’t have to pack the extra weight. Never heard back until after we arrived. The message said no fins. There was all kinds of snorkel gear in the storage area. Might help if you knew the contents. They warn of the no-see’ us, but a quick fix might be to put up inexpensive screening around the porch making that area more functional. No light in un-heated pool. Just be a little more aware of what you can or cannot offer. A rental vehicle was absolutely necessary. Be aware, even though it is a sandy island, Thompson’s will charge you extra upon your return to vacuum. We had less than a cup of sand on the floors and in the trunk area, and they admitted it was far cleaner than other returns. It didn’t stop them from charging us an addt’l $25 to vacuum. Apparently, they are providing jobs to another separate Company. Not good service! The Islanders were lovely and friendly. The restaurants provided typical Island food......nothing gourmet or even near it. The beaches and water were wonderful. Rented a half-day boat trip with Randy (friend of Capt. Theo’s) and enjoyed the sights. Oh yeah, the dishwasher leaks and the local roosters negated the need for alarm clocks. Owners should keep track of managers. Home is in need of some repairs and landscaping. Beautiful location.

Birthday celebration

The layout of the house was perfect and we so loved the porch that we ate out there all the time. The landscaping and gardens were beautiful and greatly enjoyed by our two birders who saw more birds right in the front garden than anywhere else! We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we cooked dinner at home almost every night (definitely buy your meats at Prime Island Deli) and appreciated the separate wash house too. We rented the boat but had too much wind for five of us to get about without getting drenched. Carolina answered all our questions and Martin is an Absolute Treasure! He met us at the airport and brought us to the house, showed us everything we needed to know at the house, and when the grill wouldn't work the first night we tried to use it and couldn't find the extra propane tank, he came over right away with another tank but determined it was the grill not the lack of propane. Off he went again and came back with two friends who helped him bring us a new grill!! My only "not great" comment would be that the kitchen could use some updates and repairs but that would certainly not keep me away from hopefully a second visit to the lovely property.

Fabulous location! Beautiful view!

Location was great! Had an issue with the boat rental, but it was promptly resolved. Martin was amazing. The house was cozy and welcoming. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The view was great! Could use a few more towels. Sand fleas are killer, but that's Exuma. Baby oil is the secret! Small snafu with email but gmail likes their spam folder! Overall great experience!

A Slice of Paradise

Four of us spent a week here in September 2019. Martin met us at the airport and lead us to the house, and assisted us with anything we needed during the week. We rented a car and used it every day to make excursions to Stocking Island, Tropic of Cancer beach and a boat tour. Aquasound is a beautiful house with great common space. We spent a lot of time in the large covered porch which has a dining table, living room furniture and a hammock. We bounced back and forth to the pool and the sound and kayaked in the sound. The water here is beautiful. All in all a very relaxing week. Loved it.

Summer getaway

Wonderful experience. Property clean and well kept. Martine (the caretaker) met us at the airport and made sure we were comfortable! Beautiful waters for swimming and snorkeling. I don't believe it's in the listing but there is a generator in the event that the power goes out it keeps the whole house running. Very pleased with the overall experience and I highly recommend it!!

Celebration vacation

This vacation home was perfect for our family of six! It was exactly what we were looking for to get away. The home and grounds were immaculate! Martin was so much help getting us to the house from the airport and helping us with whatever we needed. Renting the boat made our trip! It was so nice to be able to boat around and explore the surrounding beaches and not having a tight schedule to work around other people made it all that much more relaxing. Captain Theo was kind enough to loan us a few poles and give us tips on good fishing spots. We loved going to Chat-n-Cill and Haulover bar and grill for lunch and then coming back home in the evening and relaxing on the amazing porch and grilling out. The kitchen is stocked extremely well which makes cooking at home very easy. It was the most beautiful location our family has ever traveled to and we can’t wait to go back!

Great stay

We traveled to Exuma for our son’s wedding and had a great time. Aquasound home was as described. We loved the vegetation surrounding the property. Wonderful palm trees and tropical plants! Even green grass! Nice dock with boat and easy boating access. Loved the wood detailing of the home and had lots of character. Would definitely rent this home again. The caretaker Martin was very helpful!! With all this said , the home is a bit worn in places probably due to hurricane a few years ago. Loved the furnishings and had a great porch. Wonderful stay!!!

We spent 7 nights at Aquasound and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Martin met us at airport and we followed him to Aquasound. Martin showed us the workings of home and gave us his phone number if we should need him. Our stay was flawless with plenty of sunshine. House was fully equipped to handle our party of 5. Plenty of towels, kitchen set up was A+, and laundry on site!! The landscaping is lush and gorgeous!!

liked house, some surprises

liked the house layout and design. Thought some of furniture was cheap and not sturdy or durable. Pool is smaller than expected but nice. Beach was disappointing that you could not swim easily due to rocks, very little sandy area, etc. Boat in and out was difficult at low tide. very narrow channel. Maid showed up at 9am on the morning of our departure and that was unexpected. very much a nickel and dime operation to get more $

Directions for the perplexed

From Georgetown drive 0.45 miles south on Queen's Highway. Look for Brown's Marine on your left followed by Pit Stop Mini Mart. Then take the second or third left on unpaved road as shown on Google Maps. Proceed slowly until you see the one story dark wood and glass house partly hidden behind its hedge.

Beautiful home in a perfect location!

We absolutely loved our week's stay at Aquasound. The home is tastefully decorated, cozy, and welcoming the minute you walk through the door. The kitchen is also well-equipped. The lush landscaping and the views of the ocean are spectacular. The patio is spacious and perfect for a morning coffee and the pier is ideal for a glass of wine in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and barbequing on the grill (definitely want to check out Prime Island Meats & Deli for steaks). Martin was very helpful as well. He met us at the airport and got us settled in. This home is true serenity! Thank you for sharing this little treasure with us.
