a delightful stay

The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.

Gezellige pub met prima kamer. Zoals je op de foto’s al ziet is het wat oubollig maar dat geeft juist wel een mooie karakteristieke sfeer. Goed en snel geholpen bij inchecken. Volgende keer ontbijt in deze toko overslaan. Een half uur wachten op een zwarte koffie en dan cappuccino krijgen. En na ruim een uur mijn ontbijt gekregen wat ook zeker niet overeenkwam met de bestelling. Omdat ik geen zin had om nog langer te wachten het verder maar laten gaan. Mevrouw deed heel druk maar er waren weinig andere gasten. Of geef desnoods even bij opnemen van de bestelling aan dat het wat langer kan duren.

Run down Blackpool B&B style

For £90 the room was scruffy, the seat disgusting I had to cover with a towel to sit on and not worth more than £40 for the night. I'm not one of those clowns that takes pictures of minor imperfections but this room was very run down, wall paper was hanging off the walls, they had moved a bed with a headboard and left all the old paint. I wouldn't stop here again.

Great location in an historical building (the most charming structure I've been 15 days tour of UK). Unfortunately room condition was disappointing: one of the two matresses and the bath were broken, decoration dated and level of cleaning below average. Staff were lovely and the building itself is very interesting. Beds weren’t very comfortable and the shower/bath wasn’t great (very slippery and unable to keep a consistent temperature). Overall it was a nice place to stay, just could do with a little refresh.

Hair dryer not working, no plug in wash hand basin Paid for extension to checkout time and was charged for room again. Bed springs shot on one bed, compensated for by a duvet over mattress. Very steep stairs making ascent difficult. Clean but on the whole very shabby. Reccomend potential guests inspect room before making payment. Not a pleasant experience, will not be returning.
