“Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. The bedroom had a radio, which was also caked in dust. I have a severe allergy to dust, which immediately caused a……

“Ideal location for the town and the New forest. Just a walk across the road and you are in the New forest. Lots of parking available. Staff were lovely and friendly. There is a bus stop right outside in case you do not drive or wish not to drive. We did have breakfast and dinner, both of which were very good. Caters for breakfast and dinner and has a bar. Room was clean, had everything that you needed. This hotel allows dogs. There was no smell of dogs throughout the building and not one dog……

“A lot of noise from people walking in and out, and kids screaming early in the morning. That’s not the hotel’s fault. But some sound isolation would be nice. The room was nice enough, nothing extra there. Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Bed was okay, but not the best. ”

“I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. The value for money was excellent. I booked a family room for five of us (3 kids) - which in itself is unusual to be able to fit 5 in one room! - when we were visiting Paulton Park. I didn’t do much research and we were all very pleasantly surprised with how good it was.. the family friendly welcome, facilities, and amenities were great. So lovely to give the kids a goody bag on arrival. Easter egg hunt such a great touch, the bouncy castle was a huge……
