“The hotel’s location is great, not far from main street. They also offer a free Shuttle bus to take customers to the busiest area in town, so, you don’t have to worry about parking !

“We had an awesome stay at The Hamilton- Hoppin House. The room was very clean and spacious. Our stay was during some of the coldest weather Newport has seen in years and the room was still nice and warm. The property has a ton of historic charm and still provides a very comfortable stay. “Cindy was an amazing host who greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. She offered us hot chocolate and told us to meet her inside when we were ready. She was the nicest person you could ask for. Our room was great. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet, and was in a great location with access to plenty of shops and restaurants. “The welcome building is terrible. After a long drive we needed to use the restroom. It was behind the check-in desk and worst than a gas station restroom. Toilet couldn't flush and it was dirty and unkept. The outside of the property is in need of repairs. Very shabby looking. The first room we looked at was dingy looking and smelled stale. “Island House Newport was absolutely perfect. It doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, it truly feels like a home. The space, design, and attention to detail made it incredibly comfortable, especially traveling with our 1-year-old. Everything felt calm, private, and thoughtfully set up for a family stay. “I cannot say enough good things about this place— it was the best part of our trip! Super easy to get into your room, from the nice ambiance in the stairwell to the cleanest room & bathroom I have ever stayed in. The bed is really comfortable and there was no noise that was heard from any other rooms.
From the Admiral we walked to Chomp to have dinner one night, which was very good, and in the mornings we walked to the Picnic Cafe for coffee and they have good pastries. And if you can get there……
