“Lovely room, views spectacular, booked for Sat and Sun 2 nights Bed & Breakfast however was informed only on check in that there was no breakfast Monday morning as they are closed, dissapointed on Sunday to find all options for food on site where also closed by 6pm, there are pubs about 3 mile away in Middleham but after a couple of drinks during the day no option to drive there so left feeling somewhat hungry until next day to find somewhere for breakfast after checking out. Maybe expedia……

“Great location and great pub, however the size and quality of the rooms for the price is pretty poor. £170 for one night and all the furniture in the room has been damaged, paint on the walls and the bath panel looks rotten. The room is only just big enough for the bed, side table and small area to walk round the bed. Shower was very good though.”

“Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel”

“I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”
