lots of alternatives in Ha Long, boat was modern and clean, we had a free upgrade to panoramic view room, food could be better, but there was lots of it.

Our experience on this cruise was decent. The arrival lounge was not clean and there were ants crawling over the tea cups. The so called “lounge” was not what I would characterize as a lounge. Our cruise director, Tom, was not very friendly. In fact, he made a comment during kayaking to the guests, “come on guys, it’s just kayaking,” as people were boarding their kayaks. He didn’t seem happy to be there and wasn’t hospitable. The activities off the boat were good and the views are nice. Now, the food on the boat is not good and the cleanliness is questionable. It is worth mentioning that there was a huge cockroach under the table during lunch. We didn’t appreciate being asked to complete a feedback form during lunch shortly after Tom visited our table for a short friendly chat, which felt very contrived. Our table server, Sam, was excellent. He was very attentive and pleasant.

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve tout d abord grâce au professionnalisme de l équipe et tout particulièrement de Steven . Nous avons été au petit soin du matin au soir et avons eu des petites et grandes attentions. L excursion était vraiment sympa et enrichissante, le guide était génial et très sympa . Le bateau est magnifique comme sur les photos. Très bonne nourriture. À faire et refaire sans hésitation. Encore Merci à vous tous et Steven qui c est vraiment bien occupé de nous

The staff were really friendly and approachable. We enjoyed ourselves and felt we were well taken care of. The boat itself did not have a lot of amenities. They had paid channels though and we were in our rooms watching movies at night.

great halong halong boat cruise!

The room - theatre suite with huge balcony - was beautiful. The boat itself was also very modern and luxurious. We were only 10 on a boat that can host 21 bedrooms so 42 passengers (also due to the fact it was low season). There is therefore a feeling of being on a sort of private cruise on a big boat. Though it makes it a little unconfortable to be so few. Was too quiet in the evenings (but had to wake up at 6) Also there were too few activities. Kayak from 3.30 pm to 4.15. Then a 10 mins cooking class. The next day was a wonderful visit of caves. But they all offer limited activities. The staff was great amd very professional. Also the cruise avoids the too busy spots with extreme mass tourism.

Amazing stay.. given a lovely Le Theatre suite with balcony and panoramic view and claw foot bath with a view... whole ambience of cruise was fabulous.. all staff are great.. very attentive and caring.. a big mention to Eugene who went out of his way to make our trip special and comfortable.. he is a great asset to Le theatre cruises.. can’t forget Krischelle for all her advice and informatio.. a very kind young lady who should go far.. one not to miss if you want to feel special and looked after.

Great stay

The cruise ship was immaculate, the decor of the ship was beautiful, the route of the trip was amazing, the room was cosy, comfortable and well equipped, the staff were polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend the cruise ship to everybody. I probably wouldn’t recommend the limousine van provided, our driver did not really care about driving over speed humps without slowing down and then decided to try and drop us off in the middle of town nowhere near our hotel despite us trying to tell him which hotel was our drop off point.

Modern Cruise, good rooms and service

Rooms are clean and I would recommend 3D2N stay. 2N1D is too short. We got to go kayaking on the 3rd day morning before check out. The service from manager to crew are very good. Food is probably the least on the list.
