"Plenty of spaces in the car park and the hotel and grounds look great, although the lifts are rather battered and probably near the end of their service life. The bathroom extractor wasn't working, so when we first arrived the bathroom smelt quite stale. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet. A decent TV, kettle and tea/coffee sachets are provided, but these amenities could be improved (e.g. decaf as well as regular coffee sachets, maybe a biscuit or two). Overall, the hotel has a business-orientated feel; great for meetings etc. but a little short on home comforts."

"This was a family stay with a baby. Our room was right at the end and it was a long walk to get there with lots of doors throughout the lobby which was not easy with a baby stroller and our luggage. The room itself was fairly basic , even for a standard room. The breakfast was incredibly simple and was of a similar standard to a Travelodge or premier inn. The swimming pool and facilities were decent and would be the only reason we may consider coming back but will be skipping the breakfast next time. "

"Village hotels system wouldn’t even give me a refund after I booked the wrong day and had to book there last minute at 22:20"

"We have stayed previous and this stay was great. However second time not so much, paid extra for king size bed to be told they only have doubles and receptionist replied “I have never been in any of the rooms so I don’t know what to tell you” didn’t change the room we got a small double. Radiator was broke which made the room to hot to sleep in mentioned to staff who said it was waiting to be repaired. Vending machine jammed and when I asked for help from staff was told there’s nothing the can do so to just accept the loss. As it was a seperate company and they had no key. "

"Not enough staff in the restaurant or hotel generally. Was often waiting around for service. Lovely staff however. I dont think we should have been charged for the spa. I booked initially because of the spa and the steam room was not working. "

"Lovely homely cottage, lot of history in it and surrounding village. Park available for dogs and walks down to the lighthouse. Enjoyed the relaxing stay."
