"I must say that reviewing this hotel is a bit difficult. The location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is aged but well maintained and you can feel that the staff loves the place. Everyone was truly genuine and professional. What’s missing is, for me at least, the noise and location of my room. It was next to the elevator on the second floor as well as where the staff congregate and store a lot of the equipment. This meant that it was very noisy until about 11 pm every night and then again at 5 am every morning. This was very annoying. Not sure if the room location had anything to do with me reserving the room through a third-party website. One additional issue was that the only window in the room overlooks the outdoor hallway, which meant that I had to have the curtain closed during the entire three-night stay. This made the room feel like an inside-cabin on a cruise."
