PACIFIC 19 Kona

"Very clean, very quiet and peaceful. Very close to the Kailua harbour. "

Royal Kona Resort

"On the Ocean! Best location in Kona. Great Staff, never ran into one who wasn’t helpful in a genuine way. I will be using this resort for my future trips to Kona. Ahhhh. . . But these reviews will cause me to plan farther in advance if people catch! I certainly hope they do! Mahalo

Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The rooms were clean and the views were amazing. We loved the access to the beach steps from our room. The morning staff, especially Matt, were amazing when we realized they gave us the wrong room the night before, he went above and beyond! I wish I could have seen him again. The front desk staff in the afternoons and evenings were very rude, acted like they don’t want any mainlanders there. With rooms had some issues, our last room the shower water was scalding hot unless you left it on for 10 mins before you got in.
If you want a beautiful view, amazing staff at the restaurant, and easy access to an incredible luau and little beach, this is the place for you. We personally will find something else next time. "

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Tower Waikoloa Village
8/10 Good
"Beautiful resort, great room and service but be prepared to walk a lot. The tram system doesn’t work that well by the end of our stay we didn’t even bother checking the schedule we just walked and beat the team most of the time. Also the cost to park is outrageous. You get charged $50/day. Highest rate I’ve experienced. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. The Concierge was fantastic. We enjoyed all the activities she planned for us; top notch adventures. The pool was nice but renting a double-lounger was $175/day, ridiculous. Most were empty until midday when the price reduced to $100 (after 1 PM). If they lowered the cost they’d get more rented. "

OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa
6/10 Okay
"The pools were very big and nice, but that is because there are no useable beaches any where close to here. The poolside restaurant is nice and affordable, however, it gets really busy, because it is the only reasonably priced option available. The Pico restaurant is the only other option, and it is severely over priced for what you get, and thus why it was never very busy. There are no other dining options within walking distance (within 1 mile). You need a car or other transportation to get anywhere. Since we were there only 3 days, no regular room cleaning, even though we could have requested it if needed. The room was recently renovated nicely, but walls and windows are paper thin, and had loud neighbors the first night (teenage kids)"

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings ’ Land Waikoloa
10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing stay! I cannot express how awesome this place is. Multiple pools with waterslides were awesome, restaurant and bar directly by the main pools. Several hot tubs, BBQS, kids area, hotel functions daily, (live music, hula dancing, making leis, shave ice, yoga in the morning sunshine, free golf range and clubs...) I could go on and on!!!
This property was within a mile from several shops and restaurants, Dolphin Quest, and other Hilton properties we were allowed free access and parking to... Not to mention the all the beaches within walking distance and others within a 15 minute drive.
I cannot wait to visit with the family again, it was truly paradise!!!"

"The Sunset Terrace Bar, keep them around as they are an awesome family."

Kona Bali Kai
8/10 Good
"This property is located on popular Ali' i Drive, It is across this busy road from the ocean front larger units of Kona Bali Kai. The ocean view of the breaking waves can be seen through the parking garage. The one-bedroom garden units facing the street are ocean view in this manner. All units have keyless entry and is not working for this unit. Management said that is a big problem forcing us to use a key box that also exists and threatens a $150 charge if the key is lost. We never carried the key.
The parking for these units can be limited and make it necessary to park in the parking garage across the busy street.
This unit looked clean but had a roach problem. We found them in the kitchen flatware drawer, on the counter tops, in the bathroom and on the floor, For this reason we kept our dishes we wanted to use in the refrigerator. \
The bedroom window has wooden louvre slats that do not close. A few nights there was noise coming from outside with people chatting and laughing and every morning about 5 a.m. automatic garden sprinklers came on right outside the window. There are ceiling fans in the main room and bedroom. The ceiling lights turn on when they want to many times a night, The main area has a room air conditioner that works well to cool the room down after returning from site seeing during the day. It is not adjustable but we found the fans were enough to sleep."
