「We had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel. It is very conveniently located in the middle of the old city. The staff are wonderful. Breakfast was quite basic but everything was fresh and tasty. The rooms are very spacious with a good fridge that chills well. It was quite cool during our stay. We took advantage of the jacuzzi and both times we were the only ones there. Although it wouldn't fit more than 4 persons. The only downside was very dim lighting in the rooms. The central lighting...

「We had an amazing 2 week stay at Island Bliss. It is really well maintained hostel, if it can even be called that. It felt more like a hotel! The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you can think of. The room & bathroom are cleaned daily making for a very comfortable stay. Very central & free parking lot nearby. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sao Miguel! 」

「Casa do Contador had character, beauty, AND comfort. The breakfast especially was a fantastic experience, delivered to our room each day in a traditional wicker basket. We've never experienced anything like it! The staff were friendly and helpful, and recommended a really great tour to the east of San Miguel Island. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed ... No notes! We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.」
