The property was easy to find, communication was good, and the location worked well for our needs, with a quick drive into Inverness. Street parking was also easy and convenient.
Unfortunately, the apartment itself was quite tired and not particularly comfortable. There was an odd, musty odor on the first floor, and the stairs were steeper than expected. The shower had only fair to low water pressure.
The biggest issue was the beds. Each bedroom had two very narrow beds that felt smaller than a standard twin. I’m short and my feet hung off the end of the bed, which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. I was fine in other singles in Scotland, but here I felt like I would fall off with the smallest movement.
I booked this property because we only needed somewhere to stay for one night before an extremely early flight the next morning. In hindsight, I wish I had chosen a hotel closer to the airport and paid a bit more. While the property met the basic requirements, it did not provide a comfortable stay. In this case, you truly get what you pay for.
