“We stay every time we travel thru Iowa City and it never disappoints. Staff is friendly, checkin is easy, location good, rooms comfortable and clean. The happy hour in the lobby with snacks and drinks is wonderful!”

“Our stay was good. Staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was clean, except there was a damp, musty carpet sort of smell that I'm sure wasn't helped by the overall summer humidity. Breakfast was very well appointed and attended to by the woman working there. Overall, would be back, but will hope for a fresher smelling room.”

“The rooms were great but there was no coffee pot in the room and when we asked for one, the first time the person said they would have one brought up. 4 hours later no coffee pot. We asked again and this time they said they didn’t have one because the ones they ordered leaked. Tried to call down to desk and never got an answer. The rooftop bar drinks were not at all good. They used low end mixes and were not good. Also the rooftop music was way too loud. Could not talk because the music was to……

“When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.”
