“We were lucky to find this gem when the Mount Pleasant area was sold out for CMU friends and family weekend. The cozy, quaint cabin met all our needs for the long weekend. Settled in a peaceful and quiet setting, the cottage was tastefully updated and clean. Definitely recommend this place!”

“The property inside the cabin did have everything we needed .The view was beautiful looking at the lake.,the outdoor patio was very nice.but the bed was to high the shower head sprayed in the wrong direction and couldnt adjust it, and the TV didnt have good service..would freeze up.Spectrum service not to good.”

“The cottage was clean and comfortable. We loved the shower and the fenced in backyard. Coffee bar was well stocked and lots of games to entertain. Great place to stay and will book again!!”

“Property could use some serious updating. The settee on the porch did not invite anyone to sit on it. The portable air conditioner stopped working the second day during a heat wave. To be fair the property contact got on it right away and had a neighbor come over to help fix the issue. Interestingly, there was a brochure for a winder Air conditioner but none in place. The unit is really not adequate for the hot weather that we had for the week. Also, the lower level is quite damp and would……

“Quaint weekend getaway. Love the hummingbird theme.”

“Very nicely furnished cozy cabin on the river with a great view in a quiet area. It is a bit of a walk down stairs to the river, but it's not too bad if you don't have mobility issues. Wood and a fire ring were provided. The main bedroom had a very comfy bed, and the 2nd bedroom had bunk beds. I would 100% recommend.”

“Though the decor was nice the place didn't function well. The toilet gurgled, the kitchen sink drained extremely slow and the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The couch cushion was so worn you didn't feel it, you felt the frame. The beds were hard. The fridge is small, like a dorm room fridge. From the post it seemed you were closer to the water than you are. We booked for 2 nights and left after 1 knowing we wouldn't get a refund. We booked hoping to make it a fishing weekend so after……

“It was a great stay”

“The campsite was beautiful and Angie was great. However, the listing had showed that there was a single bed in one of the rooms but when we arrived there were bunk beds instead. Overall not a bad thing, just not what was advertised. The T.V. didn't work when we checked in and because we had travelled 6 consecutive hours to get there we didnt want to put up much of a fuss about it. Angie had showed up right as we got there and tried to resolve the issue the best she could for how late it was.……

“Absolutely love this property! It was perfect for me and my wife and our small dogs. Super easy to get to with a very convenient, yet quiet location. Also, if you're not local and are still seeing the pictures from when the lake was drained, it is back and is wonderful!”

“This place was cute and cozy! The view of the lake was very beautiful! The host, Cindy, had quick communication and was accommodating. I would for sure stay here again!!”

“Beautiful unique quiet retreat. Cabin was clean and well cared for and the communication was excellent. Everything was as described.”

“I suggest adding cornhole to your amenities list! Would've save us a lot of car space!”

“Beautiful location on Sanford Lake and easy access from the freeway. Happy to have a pet friendly place to stay. Rooms/amenities matched the Experian description well. Rooms are small as you would expect in a cabin but I appreciated the "dresser" for unpacking stuff and the closet (though maybe put a few hangers in there for your guests to use). Overall, really enjoyed the visit. The couch was not the most comfortable to sit on -- that would be my one suggestion for improvement.”

“This really is a hidden gem. I cannot wait to come back for another stay! I loved how private the area was (you could see one of the other VRBOs on the property, but would not be in each other's space). The tiny house was private and peaceful. I had good cell service (Verizon) and enjoyed exploring the small towns nearby. From deer to woodpeckers to rabbits and more, wildlife was abundant and beautiful. Most importantly, I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated from my stay. I truly hope to be……
