Slightly odd attitude from staff including a query about going out for a cigarette or to our car at night - we were told the external doors would be locked - from a receptionist sitting with wet hair in his boxer shorts ... so overall quirky but fine. "

"The receptionist was extremely nice and welcoming. However we made reservations for dinner 8.30 pm and the service was lousy. First thing the waitor said was that the kitchen closes in 15 minutes. We had no napkins and the starters where cold even though supposed to be warm. Swimming pool was very nice. Small but cosy room."

"We had a lovely and relaxing stay here. The setting was beautiful and the building was lovely and historic. We enjoyed breakfast every morning. "

"Lovely stay and enjoyed the spa facilities. We ate in the bar area as we had our dog and the staff were very welcoming. The Mull scallops were delicious as was the whisky and marmalade ice cream. Great dog walking area with interesting wood carvings on the route. Would definitely stay again if in the area. "

"The room was immaculate, felt recently renovated and quite current. It was to the rear of the hotel and very quiet even though the hotel sits on the main road through Oban. Bed, firm but comfortable, no problems there. The Nespresso coffee machine is a very nice addition too. The shower is a waterfall type and absolutely perfect. Can't comment on the bar or breakfast as we didn't use either."

"Room was clean, bathroom very small making difficult for my wife who has mobility issue. Stairs had threadbare carpet and ground floor reception area very basic and not particularly inviting. Dining staff member was helpful and did his best for us. It was a bed for night."

"We had a great stay here. Everything was wonderful. The view was absolutely exquisite. The staff were totally helpful, accommodating, and very polite. The place was clean and lovely. The bed were reasonably comfortable. The only thing that was a little off, was that the blind in the bathroom was broken, so we had to manually roll it up if we wanted it open. It was no big deal since everything else was so lovely. "
