"The location is great and very convenient, but unfortunately that’s the only positive. The host never responded to any messages, making communication extremely difficult. The property photos — many items shown are old, broken, or completely unusable. There was no outdoor lighting, and the glasses were dusty and poorly maintained. "2008号室のオーシャンビューのお部屋に泊まりました。 眺めが良く、ちょうど河津桜が咲いていました。 チェックインはスマホで完了し、暗証番号でお部屋に入ることができ、わかりやすかったです。 周辺は特にお店もないので、事前の買い出しが不可欠です。 赤ちゃん連れだったのですが、ダブルサイズのベッドで添い寝ができました。ただし、ベッドの間は隙間があるので、枕でギャップを埋めました。 備え付けの有料コーヒーが特に美味しかったです。"

"What an incredible stay for us. First time to a ryokan (i.e., traditional Japanese inn w/ onsen). What an experience! Hotel is somewhat confusing to navigate, but that is part of the adventure. The public onsen was incredible (note: they swap the male and female sides, so pay ATTENTION!). The room we stayed in was "traditional" in that we had five futons atop tatami. Haven't selpt that well in a long time! The in-room onsen was a bit old school (basically a deep tub), but still oh so magical. Just a great experience overall. Plus Toi, while quiet, has a lot of charm once we go exploring."
