"Our room stunk like cigarettes, there was nasty hair left in the shower floor was disgusting the kitchenette was nasty and the coffee pot did not work. Nasty stains on the sheets and the desk had dried food on it. The mattress was thin and very uncomfortable. I will never stay in a Best Western again"

"Hotel is being worked on. Pool was closed do to major remodel. Most elevators don't work. Stayed there because of hosting the Garfield-Perry 3-day stamp show. Would not stay there if the stamp show was not there. Water damaged ceiling tiles though out. Staff was good. "

"I’ve stayed here twice and both times there was an issue. Both times the issues were kind of out of their control but how the front desk staff handled them was really unacceptable. This last time, there was a power outage so they couldn’t honor reservations when I arrived to try to check in. Ok, no big deal, this stuff happens but they told me they tried to call a couple hours ago but no one answered. Again fine, but I asked why they didn’t leave a voicemail and I was just told it was because they were trying to everyone. It only takes 10-15 second to leave a voicemail and say they are having power issues and have to cancel the reservation and if there are any questions to call back. Simple and basic customer service. Instead of giving me plenty of time to make other arrangements I’m left with my metaphorical pant down. Please, just leave a voice mail next time. Easy. "
